New Features & Improvements
Main Menu & Pinning System
- A new main menu provides a single place to access key controls, tools, and viewer options such as Settings, Help, and About.
- Items within the menu can be pinned to the toolbar, allowing each user to choose which tools remain visible on-screen for quicker access.
Toolbar & Interface Updates
- The new toolbar at the top-right of the interface brings together commonly used controls such as microphone, volume, music, and other quick-access tools, along with any items the user pins from the main menu.
- The overall interface has been refined for clearer layout, improved spacing, and better visual consistency across panels and menus.
- The loading indicator now appears in a less obtrusive position, and a confirmation popup was added to the Log Out option for clarity.
- Numerous small visual and functional adjustments improve alignment, readability, and interaction throughout the interface.
Minimap & Region Display
- The Minimap can now be pinned or hidden, giving users the option to keep it visible or remove it for a cleaner view.
- The menu header now displays the current region and, when applicable, the active zone.
Connection Indicators
- Connection feedback has been improved with clearer, unified icons for Wi-Fi, voice, and chat connection states.
- Indicator visibility and behavior were refined for better consistency.
Settings Improvements
- The Graphics Settings window now includes clearer labels for presets and improved text to make configuration easier to understand.
- Several settings have been reorganized into more intuitive categories.
- Chat text size can now be adjusted independently from the overall UI scale.
Bug Fixes
User Interface
- Fixed an issue in the Groups menu where the “Edit Region Profile” button opened the group edit screen and the group name did not display; the button now shows “Edit Profile” and the group name displays correctly.
- Fixed an issue where text or hyperlinks in the Microphone & Camera Audio Test panel could spill or overflow when resized; text now wraps correctly and the layout adjusts to maintain alignment.
- Fixed an issue where the bottom navigation bar could display a white background strip and appear to extend beyond its area when some features were hidden.
- Fixed an issue where the displayed used region size could show incorrect values in the Edit Region and Explore panels, or when switching between floors; the used size now counts all floors correctly and displays consistently across panels.
- Fixed an issue where the connection icon could display “Connection Status: No issues.” while the chat panel still showed it was connecting to the XMPP server; the connection status now displays correctly.
- Fixed an issue where dragging chat tabs out and back could leave a white duplicate of the chat panel; toggling Hide/Show Chat now correctly updates the chat display and hides/shows all chat channels.
- Fixed an issue where the region name could be invisible in the Edit Region Profile panel; the region name now displays correctly.
- Fixed a crash that occurred when using the Moderator tools’ “Reveal hidden UI features” option; hidden UI buttons now display correctly without crashing.
- Fixed an issue where screen sharing or camera would unexpectedly stop when turning the microphone on or off; the displayed share/camera state now stays in sync with the actual stream.
- Fixed an issue that prevented users from resizing the Gestures window in the Inventory.
- When composing mail, clicking “Select More” now brings the Select Recipient window to the front so it is no longer hidden behind the Mail window.
- Fixed an issue where emojis could appear at the wrong size when editing messages or changing the chat text size; emojis and regular text now display consistently.
- Bug fix — When a region has no active text chat channels, the chat button is now hidden so users will no longer see or open a blank chat window.
- Fixed an issue where the Regions and Shop buttons only became visible after clicking the Outfit button; they now appear correctly without that extra step.
- Fixed an issue where disabling Hotbar in the Dashboard and then re-enabling it via Viewer’s Moderator Tools made previously added Hotbar items disappear.
- Fixed an issue where the “Chat Connection Lost” panel could not be closed by clicking its X button; the panel can now be dismissed using the close button.
Avatar & Content
- Fixed an issue that could prevent avatars from loading.
- Fixed an issue where, after logging out, the avatar briefly appeared pink or visually broken before the login screen; logging out now advances directly to the login screen without showing the broken avatar.
- Fixed an issue where bundle item appearance chances didn’t match the configured probabilities; bundle drops now follow the configured settings.
- Fixed an issue where the Idle-CuteGirl gesture by Sine Wave did not update an avatar’s idle pose.
- Fixed an issue where some accessories would not appear in an outfit preview when worn with a full humanoid avatar, which could prevent the Save button from becoming active.
- Fixed a bug where certain attachments could become excessively large and float when worn on full-body avatars; attachments now retain their correct scale when attached.
App (General)
- Embedded videos now respect object audio sources so spatial audio works correctly again; the viewer now prioritizes the built-in video player and falls back to an alternate player only when necessary.
- Fixed an issue where the video player opened the full browser page instead of playing embedded videos; embedded YouTube videos now play in the player (some YouTube content may still require signing in).
- Fixed an issue where some long-standing regions could fail to load after updating the client; affected regions should now load correctly.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent users from joining some regions (the app could freeze or disconnect during finalizing); joining those regions now works normally.
- Fixed an issue where in-world video playback could ignore the Master and Voice volume sliders, so changing the sliders did not affect the video’s sound.
- Fixed multiple crashes that could cause the app to exit unexpectedly — including when entering or teleporting between regions, viewing a world’s Privacy Notice/EULA, logging in, changing audio/microphone settings, editing room names, or browsing shop items.
- Fixed an issue that caused content that uses Flickr (such as the board in Welcome Center) to sometimes appear blank or lose images.
App (Mac)
- Fixed an issue on Mac where choosing outfits other than the default could display a black silhouette instead of the selected outfit.
- Fixed a crash on Mac that could cause the viewer to close unexpectedly when others join a region, after teleporting, or after being open for a period of time; the issue related to in-world script interaction has been addressed.
- Fixed an issue where the eject-user countdown timer could overlap the search bar on Mac; the timer and search bar are now properly aligned.
